Water Works STEM Carnival

Grab your family and join us for a morning filled with fun, hands-on, STEM activities that are sure to excite kids of all ages!

STEM Carnival, Water Works, on Saturday, February 26th. From 10AM – Noon, families will have the opportunity to participate in over 16 hands-on STEM activities, raffles, prizes, and a photo booth.

These STEM activities will include Marshmallow Engineering Challenge, Take Home Bird feeders, Learn How to Cast with a fishing pole, Salt Dough Ocean Animals, Take Home Ocean Puppets, Build ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles), Recycle Regatta participation, and Learn How to Tie Sailing Knots.

Local community groups also participating include:
– Living Sharks Museum
– Marine Science Club at Connecticut College
– Mentoring Corps for Community Development
– Mystic Seaport Museum
– New London Youth Affairs
– Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Center
– US Coast Guard Academy
– Yellow Farmhouse Education Center
